Private Pre-Kindergarten
Give your child the building blocks that will help shape their future with K12 Private Academy’s pre-kindergarten (pre-K) program. Through interactive online activities, young learners are introduced to key concepts, developing their social and emotional skills while creating a foundation for future academic success.
What is online pre-K?
K12 Private Academy’s structured, flexible environment allows pre-K students to jump-start their learning journey. The pre-K curriculum engages students in play-based learning to develop social and motor skills in math, reading, science, social studies, art, and music.
To enroll your child in K12 Private Academy’s pre-K program, your child must be at least 3 years old by the beginning of the program. The program is open to 3- and 4-year-olds.
Pre-K Curriculum
K12 Private Academy offers an award-winning pre-K curriculum through Embark. Created by a team of developmental psychologists and academics, it includes online and offline high-quality, age-appropriate learning activities and provides exposure to core subjects through 18 theme-based units. Courses are highly interactive, with innovative audiovisuals to help children follow along, and can be taken at a pace that suits each child’s learning.
How Online Pre-K Works
The online learning platform and provided learning materials offer all the necessary resources and information required to ignite your child’s love of learning. Each lesson contains clear instructions and written guides that provide step-by-step instructions, learning objectives, and guidance for every activity. Students will receive books, including My Five Senses, Eating the Alphabet, and The Clock Struck One, as well as hands-on materials such as a magnifying glass, counting bears, and alphabet letters! Our easy-to-navigate platform allows you to track your child’s progress to ensure their success throughout the program.
Parental Involvement
Parents play an active role in their child’s education, becoming their child’s “Learning Coach” to provide the support they need to learn. With the support of your child’s teacher, you will help keep your student on track. Though activities are ungraded, ensuring lesson guidance, participation, and completion of objectives will allow your child to blossom.
On average, parents spend an average of four to six hours supporting their child’s education each school day in online private pre-K. Parents also have access to a wide variety of resources to help support them and their child.
