What should I expect from my session?
You should expect an interactive, face-to-face discussion with your tutor, including time to work through lessons or problems. Your tutor will provide a summary of the session and directions for recommended next steps. You will be able to give feedback on the tutor and session, too.
Who are the tutors?
K12 tutors are required to be state-certified teachers and are located across the U.S. Some are employed by K12 and teach for one of our many K12-powered online schools. To be certified, a teacher usually must achieve a bachelor’s degree or higher, complete a state-approved teacher preparation program, complete a student teaching experience, and pass a series of exams. Each state has its own certification requirements.
